There is just so much spooky season appropriate music on Bandcamp, it's
hard to pick just a few for the annual round up. Here's a mix of recent and
past releases for you. Also, it's Bandcamp Friday so 100% of your purchases go the artist. Go buy some stuff!
This first one isn't Halloween per se but more of a seasonal treat. It's kind of silly but it's catchy as all get out and has become my new autumn anthem. It sounds like something SNL would do for one of their weird videos.

Meow at the Moon
by Boston-based Cat Temper has got some spooky synth for those that get a jolt
out of electronic music.
It’s not just cat scratch fever when an ancient curse causes friendly
felines to transform into fearsome beasts in the light of the full moon.
They’ll do more than bite the hand that feeds them as unwitting humans find
out who is master and who is prey. But those lucky to escape the claws of
their cattackers are doomed to walk among the whiskered!
Haunted House Party just recently released Monster's Delight as a follow up to last year's self-titled album. I'm not very into the lo-fi scene but I think it works great with the Halloween vibe, plus it's got some great audio samples mixed in. It's good to toss on when you just want to chill in the crypt. If you're into physical media, they have some cool cassette options.
In the same vein is Halloween Night by WYS & The Jazz Hop Cafe. As you
might guess from the band name, this has a bit more jazz influence to it. The best way to describe it is Scooby Doo background music.
Lamp & Dagger just released today This Tape is Haunted Too! the follow up to last year's...anyone? That's right, This Tape is Haunted!
Now, foolish mortal! Enter our house of hair-raising horrors and heed this warning well! Your doom awaits in one of our mansion's many dreaded rooms of terror! Whether it be the psychopathic cleaver maiden in the kitchen or the flesh-wrought monstrosities in the laboratory, you shall remain within these grounds! Perhaps even inside the walls themselves if we so choose. Your fate is sealed and this house is your tomb! Pray, but there is no turning back and there is NO ESCAPE!
Also released today in an early drop is the latest from Bloody Hammers. While it's not Halloween per se, they definitely have that gothic gloom metal thing going that makes them a great addition to your graveyard jukebox.
