Now Hear This - Halloween 2023

You can't have a proper spooky season without some musical accompaniment. Whether you prefer it dark and spooky or light and fun, music is one of the big things that helps set the perfect mood.

We'll kick this year off with a few artists you can depend on every year to drop some new Halloween tracks. Click the album cover to bop over to Bandcamp where you can preview and buy the tunes.

Sam Haynes returns with Haunted House Party II (sorry, no sign of Kid 'n/or Play). There's a great assortment among the 18 tracks. You've got some good spooky synth instrumentals, any of which could be in a horror movie, and a few with vocals that are super catchy.

LVCRFT have become one of my favorite finds on Bandcamp. They are like a Jekyll and Hyde of creepy soundscapes and pop tunes.

The album is not just a musical journey but also an exploration into the haunting universe of LVCRFT, delving deep into the chilling tale of Skeleton Sam’s desperate quest to rescue his lost love, Seraphina. The narrative is gripping, with a “found letter” from Skeleton Sam urging fans to uncover a chilling love story. “I’ve been frantically working to free my one true love… Please, I beg you, find the right notes.

Haunted House Party is back for some Bumps in the Night, their third Halloween album. Just like previous outings, they combine lo-fi beats with horror dialog samples for a devilishly good chill.

Slasher Dave is back with Thea Munster to drop a new spooky single.

ghost town station recently released volume 3 of Halloween Sounds from the Ghost Town.
ghost town station started making music after falling asleep and waking up in a ghost town. There was a radio station that emanated from the dead radios of abandoned cars in this town. That very music was ghost town station.

Stay tuned for Now Hear This Halloween 2023 Part 2 next week!
