Star Wars Wednesday - ESB Poster Magazine #2

The second issue of the Empire Strikes Back poster magazine is all about the bad guys.

Back in the day, we fans had few resources available to further explore the world of the movies. There was a Fan Club newsletter, named Bantha Tracks, that came out quarterly which was usually 4-8 pages. And most of the space was dedicated to interviews with cast and crew, special effects behind the scenes or progress on the next movie.
Not much room to get into detail about the galaxy far, far away!

Even the heavy hitters of magazine at the time like Starlog or Famous Monsters of Filmland were generally more about the cast/crew and how the movies were made. So when something like these poster magazines came along, they were a treasured source of information.

Even the trading cards could be a good source of trivia to test your friends. Things like the below pages are what I loved as a kid because it helped build my encyclopaedic knowledge. Even decades later I still recall things that I have no idea just how I learned.

And seriously, you can't get a much better poster than this...
