I was going to do a Holiday Haul post but things are still scattered all around which means I'd have to actually make an effort to sort stuff and figure out where it's going to go. Too much for me right now, so instead, here's one of the cool gift(s) that Mrs Dex got me: Skelton's Keys to the Classics.
There's a secret library inside the old Skelton farm. Hidden within
the collection of classics are keys to fantastic places, enchanted
kingdoms and lost worlds. Find the library, and unlock adventure . . .
if you dare.
At first glance, these appear to be small books.
But when you open them...
Each one contains a special key related to the story!
Each one is cast in metal so they have some weight to them. Some are simple and some have a bit of detail packed into them. The Jekyll/Hyde key (top right) has Hyde on one side and Jekyll on the other. The Dracula key is quite striking in person.
The Alice in Wonderland one is pretty wild with its iridescent rainbow plating. The colors shift when you move it around. Worked into the design are the words Turn Me. If you look at the right pic going top down, you might be able to see the Cheshire Cat, a teacup and the Mad Hatter's hat.
The Headless Horseman one is mostly black nickel-plating, except for the Horseman's flaming jack-o-lantern head which is copper colored. The figure at the bottom is Ichabod. I really like the tree design on this one.
If you want to unlock your own adventures, you can find these at Skelton Crew's website. If you're a fan of the comic/Netflix series Locke & Key, they also have a huge collection of those keys as well. I have a few and they're fantastic!
