Playmobil occasionally releases some Halloween, or at least
Halloween-adjacent, figures and playsets. I didn't see any last year but
they're back this year with a witch and the Lord of Vampires himself, Dracula.
I don't have any stores (that I know of) in the area that really carry
Playmobil so I usually have get them online. I haven't even found the blind
bag figures anywhere lately which is too bad because they tend to sneak in a
horror themed figure in each wave.
But on to what I do have...
Little Miss Witch seems like the Good Witch type and comes with a broom and
black cat familiar. I don't follow Playmobil so I don't know if the addition
of rubber parts is something new but the shawl (I don't know what you call
this sort of half cape) is made of a rubbery material to allow her arms to
move up while still looking quite stylish. The cat has neck and tail
articulation which was a nice surprise.
The broom comes with a handlebar attachment so she can ride it!
Disclaimer: Digital effects were used in this shot and toy does not actually
fly.
Let's zip on over to Transylvania...
Dracula comes with a ton of accessories! For the record, it does not say
Dracula anywhere on the packaging but if you look up his set 71582, that's
what they call it.
Drac also has some rubbery clothes with his...duster? Robe? He's probably too
refined for a duster so we'll go with robe. It's that kind of rubber that will
absolutely attract dust when you look away. If you look, you can see he's got
some kind of metal bat hanging on a chain on his right leg.
His personal affects include a battle axe, a hanging bat on a perch, and
bottle with a red liquid. Could be blood or maybe a healing potion?
Considering he's a vampire, those might be the same thing. He also comes with
a little landscape piece with a bat in flight and a skull. Perfect decor for
any Halloween display!

I didn't know Playmobil made figures like this. Very cool and lots of fun.
ReplyDeleteThey sure do! If you click on the word Playmobil at the bottom of the post (under the Countdown image where it says "Talkin Bout"), you can see some previous year Halloween related figures.
