13 Days of Creepmas - Frosty the Gourdman

Merry Creepmas one and all!

Frosty the Gourdman is a twist on the familiar tale we all know. In this story, Frosty is made from pumpkins and comes to life in a pumpkin patch on Halloween night. The book was released in October 2010 and as soon as I found out about it, I had to own it. I don't want to spoil the story but it's a heartwarming tale of a young girl and the monster she befriends. Almost like that one part in Frankenstein, except Frosty doesn't kill this little girl.

Here's a little trailer for the book

Frosty the Gourdman was an
empty hollow soul
With a pumpkin head, eyes glowing red,
and a heart as black as coal.

Frosty the Gourdman was a
scary tale they say
And the children know
when the fall wind blows
he will come for them one day.

There is a 22 page preview of the book on the Frosty the Gourdman website
It's available as a physical book and PDF download. Treat yourself, I think you'll enjoy it!

  2. What a fun idea! I want to see more of Frosty the Gourdman. The art in that clip looked pretty cool. I didn't end up signing up for the Creepmas celebrations, because I didn't think I'd have enough time in December to write 13 blog posts. Still, I'm excited to read what everyone else has put together! Creepmas is a cool idea, and it looks like there was quite a turnout.

  3. Justine: There's some extra art on their home page that gives you a little better look. But really, the book is really a must own for us weirdos.

It was a little strange for me sort of helping fire the shot that started the Creepmas revolution. Hoping we make this a new tradition!
