2018 Halloween Hot Wheels - Jack & Sally

I started hunting for this year's Halloween Hot Wheels in early September. I purposely didn't look up any information on them because I wanted to be surprised when I found them. As the month went on I started going out of my way to hit any Walgreen's I could because that's where the exclusives have been for the past several years. Not only was I not finding the odd one or two left overs, I wasn't even seeing a tag on the shelves for them.

Even Googling 2018 Halloween Hot Wheels was only yielding results from previous Halloweens. My final stop was eBay where I found the exclusives were hosted by Kroger's.

What's this?

Nightmare Before Christmas Hot Wheels!!

Since I don't have Kroger's locally, I had to get these from eBay which meant I had a hard choice to make: to open or not to open. If I found them in the store, I would pick up two sets. Ultimately, I had to open them to photograph them and did my best to preserve the cards.

Jack's car is the Street Creeper. I don't think there's a better named model he could have! The main feature of the Street Creeper is a giant spider over the engine block. I really like the use of orange and black here, especially on the wheels and windshield.

The roof looks like it was pieced together and there are glowing eyes peeking out of various places. If you look close, you can see the spider even have eight eyes.

If Jack is number one in the series, of course Sally would be right behind him.

I absolutely love the use of Sally's colors on this car. From the stitches to the wheels to the striped back windows, it's all spot on.

The roof has a portrait of Sally with a black cat. All the cars in this series have the characters on them but I think this one would be easy to identify even without her on it.

There's six more cars in the series so be sure to come back every Wednesday to get a look!

  1. Krogers? Well darn, guess I'll be using the bay. These look so cool not to get.

    1. I'm hoping this isn't a sign that they're going back to Kroger's for Halloween exclusives. I was much happier when they were at Walgreens.

  2. "What's this?" :) They're both great cars! Love the colors on Sally's car. This post reminds me that I took some pics of little cars at the art museum recently. I was meaning to share those pics with you but forgot. So I'll send you an email later tonight.
    P.S. ~ I love your blog background!
